For 47 years, the Two Way Street Coffee House has featured live folk and acoustic musical entertainment every Friday night between 8:15 and about 10:30. Occasionally, we also host special events at other times, and frequent Old Time Barn Dances.

Located across from the Downers Grove Public Library, we offer a cozy, informal environment, and serve a variety of coffees, teas, soda, cider, hot chocolate and snacks. No alcohol is served, and no meals. We are a non-smoking coffee house and we

Accessibility Information

PARKING INFO

There are several places for patrons to park including:
  • On-street parking
  • Downers Grove Parking Deck
  • Commuter parking lots are free after 11:00 a.m. on weekdays, as well as on weekends and major holidays
  • Handicapped accessible parking is available on Main Street, Rogers Street, Curtiss Street, Washington Street (by the Post Office), and on Warren Avenue
  • Accessible parking can also be found in Commuter Lot A and the Parking Deck

PUBLIC HOURS

We have informal Sing-Arounds (instrumental and vocal jam sessions) on the first and third Saturday afternoons of every month, and a Country/Western Sing-Around on the fourth Saturday, from 2-4 p.m.  We have a Song Circle on the 2nd Tuesday of every month (7-9 p.m.) where a musician can informally perform a new song for other musicians. On the Last Thursday of every month we feature a special unplugged open mike for high-school and college age students.

PUBLIC ADMISSION FEES

There is a $10 requested donation for the Friday musical entertainment.
