Two Way Street Coffee House--2 Easy Payments

Presented by Two Way Street Coffee House at Two Way Street Coffee House

On Friday, July 15, 2022 Two Way Street Coffee House Friday Night Concert Series presents Two Easy Payments.

Two Easy Payments is a dynamic duo featuring Laura Rae Lanza (Mandolin & Fiddle Player, Vocalist) and Sammy Byerly (Songwriter, Guitar Picker, Vocalist). Their music is influenced by American blues, folk, bluegrass and country music traditions. The instrumentation is acoustic, with an emphasis on maximizing the natural tones emanating from finely crafted wood and strings. Sammy’s song writing ranges from sublime love songs to ridiculous humor. Laura Rae’s effortless vocals are neither over or understated. Though separated by many miles and many years of experience they are inexplicably drawn together to perform, bonded by the love of making joyous music.

Sammy Byerly

Song Writing, Guitar & Vocals: Sammy has been a fulltime “amateur” musician and songwriter his entire life. He is a trained percussionist but is self-taught on guitar, bass and tenor banjo. His bluegrass band, The Roadkill Rangers, perform at festivals and venues in the upper Midwest. Sammy’s original songs exploit love, humor and his “Quest for Walter” the uncatchable fish of a thousand lies. His “cover song” repertoire consists of well written and entertaining songs that don’t get the attention or notoriety they deserve. Sammy has two recordings of original songs available on CD; “I Don’t Wanna Be Mom” from 1995 and “Tie Me Down” from 1997. He currently resides in Yorkville, Illinois.

Laura Rae Lanza

Mandolin, Fiddle, Vocals: Laura is an accomplished musician, playing mandolin, fiddle and guitar. She performs with a variety of musicians, providing support via mandolin, lead vocals and backup harmonies. Laura promotes her personal brand, Living Well Rooted, by offering cultivation of whole life transformation via natural healing tools, mentoring, faith and self-love. She is a certified holistic health coach, truck driver, heavy equipment operator, farmer and a dedicatedmother. It’s exhausting just thinking about it. Laura is loving life in rural, Northern Illinois.
