This exhibit will showcase some of those individuals who gave the Chicago Blues its identity. Names like Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Little Walter come to mind. The exhibition features collage-portraits, silk screens, lazer prints and assemblage.
Under One Flag: The Chicago Blues is the title of this current exhibit. The beats and rhythms of the electric Blues, which were incubated in Chicago during the late 1940s into the 50s, continue to have a modern influence. How different would Rock and Roll and all subsequent pop music be without the influence of the Chicago Blues?
