Documentary: More Than a Medal

The First Division Museum at Cantigny Park presents a screening of “More Than a Medal,” a 25-minute documentary about the work of the Valor Medals Review Project at Park University in Missouri.

The event will open with remarks by Park University’s Tim Westcott, Ph.D., director of the Robb Centre, associate professor of history, and associate archivist.

The Robb Centre is the home of the Valor Medals Review Project and Task Force, a team of researchers and historians performing a systematic investigation into minority veterans of the Great War (1914-1921) who, despite deserving deeds, may have been unjustly denied high-level valor awards owing to their racial or religious ... view more »

Film is free. Register at FDMuseum.org to reserve a seat.  The website also has a link to the film's trailer.

Parking is $5 per car.

PARKING INFO

Cantigny's regular daily parking fee is $5 per car. Parking is free on the first Wednesday of every month. On Saturdays and Sundays, May through September, parking is $10. The $10 rate also applies on Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. Parking is free at all times for Cantigny Park members, Honor Club members, and those attending ticketed events or other fee-based programs.
