Join the Glen Ellyn Historical Society as we welcome Vivien Lasken, Director of the FabyanVilla Museum and Japanese Garden in Geneva IL, who will discuss code-breaking pioneer Elizebeth Smith Friedman.
Elizebeth Smith Friedman took down smuggling syndicates during Prohibition, broke enigma codes in World War II and caught Nazi spies in South America. Join Vivien Lasken, Director of the FabyanVilla Museum and Japanese Garden in Geneva IL, at the History Center as she shares this code-breaking pioneer’s fascinating background and work, which ultimately led to the start of the NSA.

PARKING INFO
There is convenient, free parking in our lot. If the lot is full, additional parking is located behind Stacy's Tavern Museum. If school is closed, you may also park by the elementary school, or across the street at the District 41 Administration Building. There is also parking on nearby residential streets, but watch for directional signs as not all side streets allow parking on both sides.
