The Glen Ellyn Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, honoring and celebrating our local history. We operate Stacy’s Tavern Museum, an 1840’s stagecoach inn, at 557 Geneva Road in Glen Ellyn in partnership with the Village of Glen Ellyn.

The Glen Ellyn History Center is located at 800 N. Main St. in Glen Ellyn and houses our multi-purpose room where we hold programs, our gift shop — Stacy’s Corners Store, artifacts, archives and offices. The History Center is open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and for special events.

The museum is open Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from April thru mid-December and by appointment. Our research archives are staffed by volunteers to answer your questions on Wednesday afternoons from 1 – 4 p.m.
