Two Way Street Coffee House

For over 50 years, the Two Way Street Coffee House has featured live folk and acoustic musical entertainment every Friday night starting at 8:00pm. We also host community events such as sing arounds, song circles and Old Time Barn Dances.

Located across from the Downers Grove Public Library, we offer a cozy, informal environment, and serve a variety of coffees, teas, soda, cider, hot chocolate and snacks. No alcohol is served, and no meals. We are a non-smoking coffee house and we welcome all ages. We have a suggested donation of $10.00 on Fridays.

PARKING INFO

There are several places for patrons to park including:

On-street parking
Downers Grove Parking Deck
Commuter parking lots are free after 11:00 a.m. on weekdays, as well as on weekends and major holidays
Handicapped accessible parking is available on Main Street, Rogers Street, Curtiss Street, Washington Street (by the Post Office), and on Warren Avenue
Accessible parking can also be found in Commuter Lot A and the Parking Deck

PUBLIC HOURS

We have informal Sing-Arounds (instrumental and vocal jam sessions) on the first and third Saturday afternoons of every month, and a Country/Western Sing-Around on the fourth Saturday, from 2-4 p.m. We have a Song Circle on the 2nd Tuesday of every month (7-9 p.m.) where a musician can informally perform a new song for other musicians. On the Last Thursday of every month we feature a special unplugged open mike for high-school and college age students.

PUBLIC ADMISSION FEES

There is a $10 suggested donation for the Friday musical entertainment.
