A first-generation family of German immigrants started what would eventually become Sonny Acres Farm. What began as a small produce stand grew into one of the premier pumpkin patches in the area, a place where families gather and enjoy time together, off the beaten path and away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Sonny Acres Farm truly is a working farm, growing the best pumpkins around.

The Nagel family spent over a century building the grounds into more than just a farm. It’s a place built around fun, imagination and excitement for the entire family. Whether you’re looking for a wild spin on one of our many carnival rides, a terrifying stroll through the haunted barn, or spending the day at our annual fall festival, Sonny Acres has something for every member of your family to enjoy and cherish.

In 2019, two new families joined in the great Sonny Acres tradition and are making a big impact on the Sonny Acres story. After spending more than 50 years visiting the farm with their parents, then their own children the Joyaux and Fontana families became the new owners. They are the stewards of the farm and traditions that so many families have built here. They’ve already improved most of the iconic features on the grounds, attractions and food choices, ATM’s, restroom facilities and more. The new vision is to continually improve the attractions you’ve come to love so that you and your family can continue the traditions you’ve built with us for so long, and make them a little bigger, a little better, and all the more memorable.
