Snow City Arts inspires and educates children and youth in hospitals through the arts.

About Us

Whether in the hospital for a long-term stay or a short one, we turn a child’s time to heal into a time to create. Snow City Arts provides workshops in visual arts, music, creative writing, media arts, and theater.

Snow City Arts was founded in 1998, and has provided a studio-quality arts experience to more than 19,000 children in hospitals throughout its history.

Snow City Arts works in partnership with the following hospitals:

• Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital
• Rush University Children’s Hospital
• Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago
• John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County
• Children’s Hospital – University of Illinois

In April 2020 Snow City Arts launched its Virtual Learning initiative in response to COVID-19, in order to continue its mission to serve students in the hospital with exceptional arts education..
