The Naperville Art League (NAL) is a nonprofit organization sponsored by its membership, a dedicated group of over 250 local artists and art enthusiasts whose innovation and creativity drive the association’s continued growth. Since its inception, NAL has provided an atmosphere of encouragement, education, and support for local emerging and established artists and for art appreciators. NAL’s location, The Naperville Fine Art Center and Gallery, is a place for artists to gather, exhibit their original work, and share their talents with the community. Open to the public, the Gallery features monthly displays of members’ original artwork as well as occasional special exhibits.

NAL holds firmly to its motto “inspiring passion in the arts” in its annual offering of over 50 hands-on art classes for both children and adults held at its Fine Art Center. Classes cover a variety of media and experience levels and are available throughout the day and evening.  Our instructors come from diverse artistic backgrounds and provide the tools and motivation needed to make even the novice comfortable.

NAL hosts monthly themed art shows featuring original artwork created by members and all pieces are for sale.  Each art show attempts to represent current local events, stylistic artistic elements, and the traditions of fine art representation while giving local artists a forum to exhibit their work to the community.

Every third weekend in September, NAL proudly hosts The Riverwalk Fine Art Fair, an outdoor juried art exhibition and sale, which began in 1985. Held along the renowned Naperville Riverwalk and downtown city streets, the show is ranked as one of the top fine art fairs in the United States and features artists from all over the country. In addition to hosting this nationally acclaimed fair, NAL strives to make an artistic mark on the community. Each spring NAL coordinates a public art competition and exhibit, and periodically partners with other local organizations to offer visual art to the public in various ways.

NAL’s Fine Art Center and Gallery invites both artists and the community to understand, practice, and appreciate art. The Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am until 5:00 P.M. and Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.
