Hack the Jack Pumpkin Carving Contest

Presented by Naperville Jaycees at Naper Settlement

This October, the Naperville Jaycees are presenting Hack the Jack, the area’s first pumpkin carving contest. Hack the Jack, will give contestants the chance to compete for cash prizes based on the first, second and third place pumpkin winners.

To participate, area residents may carve pumpkins and submit them for judging by other locals visiting Naper Settlement from Friday, Oct. 20-Oct. 22 during normal business hours, and during All Hallow’s Eve. Pumpkins selected as first, second and third win cash prizes as well as those who voted for those pumpkins if drawn during the raffle. Raffle Tickets may be purchasedhttp://www.naperjaycees.org/event/hack-jack-pumpkin-carving-contest-downtown-naperville/#vote_now.

Winners will be announced on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Naperville Plaza in front of Language Star.

If you would like to enter your pumpkin into the contest, there is a $15 entry fee. Pumpkins must be brought to the parking lot behind the Martin Mitchell Mansion at Naper Settlement on Thursday, Oct. 19, 4:30-9 p.m. Your pumpkin must be fully carved and decorated prior to submission.

DATES TO REMEMBER:

Create / October 19: Start at home: Carve. Decorate. Paint. Then deliver your pumpkin along with the $15 submission fee to the Jaycees in the parking lot behind Naper Settlement's Martin Mitchell mansion, 523 S. Webster, Naperville. on October 19 between 4:30 and 9:00 pm.

Vote / October 20 - 22: Visit Martin Mitchell mansion at Naper Settlement and see the pumpkins to vote for your favorites. Everyone can vote but only raffle purchasers can win.

Win / Octber 28: Come to Naperville Plaza, 44 W. Gartner, Naperville, and find out if your pumpkin won first, second, or third prize. If you bought raffle tickets, come see if your pumpkins won and if your name is drawn.
