The Addison Art Guild will feature guest artist, Frankie Johnson, on Thursday, October 12, 2107, at the Addison Village Hall, One Friendship Plaza, Addison, in Room 1301 at 7:30 pm.  Guests are welcome.  Frankie Johnson will do an oil demonstration, figurative piece, painting it shape by shape without any drawing. It is a fun way to do figurative painting and takes a little fear out of drawing people.

Frankie Johnson is an accomplished artist with over 40 years of experience in oil painting and pastels.  She studied art and design at the Art Institute of Chicago and William Harper College.  Through her long associates with the Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago, she studied with many distinguished artists.

She has participated in many juried exhibitions and competitions, winning numerous awards all over the Midwest. Her art hangs in many private and corporate collections throughout the country.  Frankie has taught oil and pastel painting at The Studio in the Woods, The Studio of Long Grove and at the Mainstreet Art Center where she is director.  She also teaches workshops at the Clearing in Ellison Bay, Wisconsin, Dillman’s in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin, and at the Mainstreet Gallery in Illinois.
