In conjunction with the exhibit Here Comes the Rainbow the gallery will host four meditation sessions held in a room built into the exhibit. The artist has made meditation pillows, which will be used for the sessions. Each session will start off with 15 minutes of mediation followed by a discussion and viewing of the exhibit. This meditation will heighten the visitor's experience, allowing the subtleties of color and shape that are central to Leslie Baum's work to come alive.

The guided meditation will be lead by Margaret Mckenzie. McKenzie is the former instructor and originator of the meditation class at COD. She has studied Buddhism for many years and has been meditating for over 25 years. She is a Senior Dharma teacher in the Kwan Um School of Zen. Mckenzie holds a master of social work degree from Aurora University and is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). She is mostly retired but continues to work part-time in a hospital doing clinical work and providing supervision to graduate-level interns.

This event is free and open to the public. The gallery will be closed to walk-ins to ensure a peaceful environment for the session.
