Paul Mayer, Fossil Invertebrate Collections Manager from the Field Museum, will present a talk on the 430 million year old Silurian reefs of Northeastern Illinois. He will talk about the corals, brachiopods, crinoids, trilobites and cephalopods found in the Chicago Area. Today we see the remnants of this in the numerous limestone quarries in our landscape.
