Be inspired by the sound of singing with a full professional orchestra and soloists in a warm community setting.
Handel’s Messiah is known for its setting to sacred texts and rich orchestrations. It includes the dramatic “Hallelujah Chorus,” which has become a crowd favorite during the Christmas season.
The group is led by Artistic Director Scott Uddenberg, and will be accompanied by a full professional orchestra and professional soloists. The 60+ member chorus has rehearsed and performed since its founding in 1952 at Elmhurst University, with a mission to create outstanding choral performances for the community to appreciate and enjoy.
Elmhurst Choral Union is grateful for the financial support from the Explore Elmhurst Grant Program, Wurlitzer Grant, and the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
