Author and storyteller Lynn Rymarz tells the story of Rosie the Riveter, the iconic workforce recruitment symbol of World War II.
She has entertained and informed audiences with her historical portrayals for nearly two decades. To open its 16th Season, the St. John’s Artist Series welcomes author and storyteller Lynn Rymarz on Sunday, October 22 @ 3:00p.
Ms. Rymarz joins us in character as the inspiration for Rosie the Riveter: one of the most recognizable American symbols ever created—one realized in the iconic “We Can Do It!” recruitment poster that helped bring women into the workforce during World War II. You can conveniently time-travel with her back to the 1940s (while never leaving this century) to discover how life and the workforce was forever changed, as women stepped out of the house and into the factory.
The program will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln in Lombard, IL. Admission to this Artist Series event is No-Charge; a free-will offering will be accepted.
This event is FREE. A free-will offering will be taken; a $10 donation is suggested.
