Celebrated cellist Gabriel Martins brings Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto in E Minor to life with his “rich, warm” and “mesmerizing” sound. This 1919 concerto is known for its hauntingly beautiful melodies and great emotional depth, reflecting the composer's personal struggles during WWI.
Our opening concert will also showcase Ralph Vaughan Williams' Overture to The Wasps and his powerful Symphony No. 9 in E Minor.
