The DuPage Symphony Orchestra returns to beautiful Cantigny Park the last Saturday in June to celebrate popular music that reached at the Top o’ the Charts in the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and beyond. Hit tunes from the Big Band Era and Rock ’n Roll to the Sounds of the Sixties – including the Beach Boys and the Beatles, the Mamas and the Papas and Simon and Garfunkel, and even a little Motown – will have you tapping your feet, humming along, and maybe even dancing on the lawn! The wide array of orchestral medleys on the DSO’s Cantigny program showcases the incredible variety of musical styles that both reflected and defined popular culture in the second half of the twentieth century. Join us for a fun-filled and nostalgic evening featuring some of the most energetic, inspiring, and enduring highlights of American popular song!
