Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O’Connor star in one of the greatest musicals ever filmed. Musician Don Lockwood (Kelly) rises to stardom during Hollywood’s silent-movie era–paired with the beautiful, jealous and dumb Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen). When Lockwood becomes attracted to young studio singer Kathy Selden (Reynolds), Lamont has her fired. But with the introduction of talking pictures, audiences laugh when they hear Lockwood speak for the first time–and the studio uses Selden to dub her voice. Set during the advent of “talkies,” this film’s classic song-and-dance numbers celebrate the beginning of movie musicals. Movie is G rated and lasts approximately 103 mins.
Bring the family and watch a favorite flick on our new 40-foot inflatable screen. All movies are outdoors and feature lawn seating. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, and picnics are welcome.

Concessions (including popcorn) will be available for purchase from Mamie’s Toffee and Treats and Tamales+. A beverage cart will offer soft drinks, beer and wine.

Cantigny's regular daily parking fee is $5 per car. Parking is free on the first Wednesday of every month. On Saturdays and Sundays, May through September, parking is $10. The $10 rate also applies on Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. Parking is free at all times for Cantigny Park members, Honor Club members, and those attending ticketed events or other fee-based programs.
