Mental Health Awareness Exhibition

Mental Health Awareness Exhibition

Presented by Wheaton Public Library at Wheaton Public Library

Wheaton Public Library regularly hosts exhibits in its Arts & Culture Center, located on the first floor of the library. This is part of an ongoing effort to support local and regional artists and connect them with current and future art appreciators in the community.

People's Resource Center

Since 1975, People's Resource Center (PRC) has been bringing neighbors together to respond to hunger and poverty in DuPage County and create a future of hope and opportunity for all.  With a team of over 2,600 volunteers, we offer nutritious food and other basic necessities like clothes and rent assistance as well as access to resources like education and tutoring, jobs, technology, and art.

PRC offers much-needed opportunities for creative expression through its free art programs for clients.  Participation builds self-esteem in both children and adults.  The paintings and mixed media pieces on display were made within the past year by students and instructors of our art program.

NAMI DuPage

NAMI DuPage offers in-person and virtual art and recreation programs to promote creativity and combat feelings of loneliness and isolation. These include opportunities to make cards, jewelry, and explore a variety of art media.

Artist Steve Leguizamon is exhibiting his series of bird images, which he sees as an icon for mental health.
