A History of the Chicago Aurora and Elgin Railway

A History of the Chicago Aurora and Elgin Railway

Presented by Wheaton Park District at Wheaton Community Center

In this presentation, Brian and Joyce Ostberg (BeHistoric) will explore the history of the Chicago, Aurora, and Elgin Railway being one of the first, largest scale, and fastest electric railways in the early 1900s. They will describe how the railway evolved over the decades, how it ultimately failed by the middle of the 20th century, and how its legacy is still with us today. To reserve your spot, register at dupagemuseum.org/events.

This event is supported by DuPage Foundation.

We will meet in Atten room 222.
