Communidad/Identidad: Wheaton x Oaxaca Print Portfolio

Presented by Wheaton College at Walford Galleries of Wheaton College

This exhibition presents a portfolio of prints in which twelve artists from Oaxaca, Mexico and twelve Wheaton College art faculty and alumni use printmaking to explore how identity is shaped by the particularities of place, and how our communities – and concepts of community – are in turn shaped by these identities.

Artists include: Julio García Aguilar, Adrián Aguirre, Armarte, Iván Bautista, Edith Chávez, Alberto Cruz, Javier Antonio Dominguez, José Martinez, Gabriella Morac, Daniel Barraza Ortiz, Beatriz Rivas, Shinzaburo Takeda, Jeremy Botts, Gregory Deddo, James Hapke, Shang Lin, Cherith Lundin, Josepha Natzke, Kaye Lee Patton, Joel Sheesley, Rebekah Stoneberg, Jeffrey Swider-Peltz, Sheldon Till-Campbell, and Christa Tooley

A reception for this exhibition will be held on Friday, October 7th, from 3:30-5:00pm in the Walford Galleries.
