Virtuoso pianist returns to Elmhurst Symphony in an all-Brahms program dedicated to the memory of legendary Dale Clevenger, long-time Music Director and Conductor of ESO. The program features Brahm’s Third Symphony and Piano concerto No. 1.
This concert is dedicated in memory of Dale Clevenger, legendary Chicago Symphony Orchestra Principal Hornist and Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra Music Director and Conductor from 1981–1995. It features pianist Adam Neiman who returns to perform the Piano Concerto No. 1 by Johannes Brahms. The Chicago Tribune raved about Neiman’s extraordinary virtuosity, writing, “He was clearly born to be a pianist, and is carrying out a destiny written in his genes.” His performance is a must-see event!
The all-Brahms program begins with the composer’s Third Symphony. The symphony is full of somber, poignant passages and prominently features the French horn— the instrument with which Dale Clevenger contributed so much to the cultural vibrancy of Chicagoland.
General Admission ($35), Senior ($32) and Student ($12) tickets are available now online at elmhurstsymphony.org/event/neiman-plays-brahms or by calling +1 (630) 941-0202.
