Walk through Pilsen with guide Luis Tubens and get the larger meaning behind the artwork in Chicago’s capital of Mexican culture. With a perspective rooted in more than fifteen years of experience in the neighborhood art and sociopolitical worlds, the tour weaves the history of Pilsen with vibrant large-scale murals and lived personal experiences. Meet at the National Museum of Mexican Art, 1852 West 19th Street. Members are free, Non-members $15. Registration required.
Enjoy the National Museum of Mexican Art after your tour. Admission is free. Open 10am-5pm. Visitor parking is available in the Ray Castro Parking Lot and Plaza, located on the east side of the Museum. The lot is open daily from 8:00 am – 11:00 pm at a rate of $2 per hour.
