60 Years of the Beatles

60 Years of the Beatles

Presented by Wheaton Public Library at Wheaton Public Library

Arts DuPage Month Perk: Wheaton Public is a proud participant of Arts DuPage Month. A special reception with refreshments has been added to this event as a part of the celebration.

Sixty years ago, Ringo Starr joined the Beatles and the group released their first recording, “Love Me Do.” To commemorate these momentous events, historian John F. Lyons examines the impact of the Beatles on the Chicago metropolitan area. Through the use of music, video and many unseen photographs from the 1960s, this highly entertaining presentation reveals untold stories of the Beatles’ visits to Chicago, highlights the unique connections between the Fab 4 and the Windy City and discusses the diverse cast of characters who were engulfed by the whirlwind of Beatlemania.

This is a hybrid event, with an in-person presenter and both in-person and virtual participants. Registration is required: https://bit.ly/3Cah1l0

Refreshments will be available for in-person participants to enjoy before the show.

Remember to stop by the 4EVER4 exhibit in the Wheaton Public Library’s Arts & Culture Center before or after the show. The exhibit will be available from October 9-30!
