Japanese Papermaking

Japanese Papermaking

Presented by The Morton Arboretum at The Morton Arboretum

We will work with the three main fibers that are used: Gampi, Kozo and Mitsumata. These materials make lovely textured papers with long fibers. We will add inclusions of dried organic material, dyed fibers, silk thread and more. Each student will walk away with at least 20 sheets of colorful and unique paper.

Instructor: JoAnne Laudolff, freelance artist

Notes: No art experience necessary. Supplies provided, but you may wish to bring some organic material, such as dried leaves or flowers, to incorporate into your paper. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for getting a little wet.  Please bring a sack lunch. Limit 15
