Intro to Watercolor (online)

Intro to Watercolor (online)

Presented by The Morton Arboretum at Online/Virtual Space

Learn to use watercolor to capture nature. In this four-week beginner-level class, you will learn watercolor techniques such as laying a wash, glazing, and dry brush. Work under the guidance of your instructor to practice techniques with simple exercises, and complete several small pieces throughout the course. Develop your skills with this popular and well-loved medium in a supportive online environment.

Instructor Carrie Carlson earned an MFA in scientific illustration at the University of Michigan and an MA in printmaking from Governors State University. She is a full-time high school art teacher. In her free time, she loves to fill up travel sketchbooks and grow a rowdy garden.
