Learn more about first lady, Mary Todd Lincoln in this riveting one woman show!
In honor of Women's History month, the Addison Historical Society and Addison Public Library are co-sponsoring "Mary Todd Lincoln: Preserve the Union" presented by historical portrayer, Jessica Michna. Join us Thursday, March 17, 2022 for this FREE in-person program at the Addison Public Library.
Mary will recall her early years growing up in Lexington Kentucky, her move to Springfield, Illinois and subsequent romance with a young prairie lawyer named Abraham Lincoln. She will discuss their move to the Washington, D.C. and its impact on the Lincoln family and the national strife the country was undergoing at that time.
The program is free to the public, but pre-registration is required.
