The Wheaton Municipal Band opens the 2017 summer season with a fun-filled concert in Memorial Park in Downtown Wheaton. Bring a lawn chair and a picnic and enjoy the beautiful music programmed by music director Dr. Bruce Moss. There is something for everyone: the night opens with an overture by Rimsky-Korsakov, and continues with music from West Side Story, by Bernstein, The Pines of Rome, by Respighi, Gilbert and Sullivan, and of course, traditional marches. The internationally honored Wheaton Municipal Band is a "Gem" of the Western suburbs, according to announcer Pete Freidmann. Don't miss a special evening in the park with a concert by the Wheaton Municipal Band.
