Featured Photographer Paul Elledge will discuss his current exhibit, iPhone Once a Day, Everyday, during an Artist Talk at Park Art Center (PAC).  EventBrite registration is required. Paul Elledge is a Chicago based photographer with solo exhibitions at a variety of galleries across Chicago, as well as the Museum of Contemporary Photography. The Artist Talk will focus on his creative process and the parameters he established for himself for his iPhone Once a Day, Everyday project; shot only in black and white, in a vertical orientation, edited using only his iPhone’s app, every day since January 1^st, 2009.

Since that date, Elledge has posted an image from his iPhone to his www.iphoneonceaday.com website, Facebook and Tumbler every day. The PAC exhibit, iPhone Once a Day, Everyday, is a small representation selected from a photographic documentation of over 3,000 photos. Subjects encompass industrial, architectural, urban, rural and the occasional car or truck. The result is a visual diary of his life, and the exhibit and his Artist Talk allows us to understand the thinking behind this project. Elledge says, “I am not a writer, thus I have chosen the camera as a tool to create a pictorial diary. I photograph every day to capture an image that mirrors an emotion, an experience, or a feeling that illustrates my state of mind for that day.”
