ABOUT OUR PRESENTER

Laura Lein-Svencner grew up in Downers Grove and now resides  with her husband and critters in Darien.

She is a member of the National Collage Society, co-founder of the Midwest Collage Society, and is the recipient of many awards.

Her work is represented at Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin and in the Jane Wilcoxson Gallery in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Her art has appeared in Incite 1, Incite 2, Incite 3, and Incite 4 which were published by The North Light.  Her work has been featured in Somerset Studio Magazine, Cloth Paper Scissors magazine, and The Watercolor Artist magazine.

Laura has self-published an excellent book which is valuable as an artist resource. You may find her Collage Sketchbook - Instructional Design Book very useful in doing your own mixed media methods.

Laura's second love has been teaching the fine art of collage in classroom settings, workshops, and online for the past twenty six  years.

We are, indeed, fortunate she is willing to join us and share her knowledge at our next meeting!
