What better way to learn about an artist than to emulate his or her work? Much like musicians will play covers of favorite songs, students will use this centuries-old teaching method to recreate a particular artist’s work. Students create a copy, or “cover,” in the artistic style of the famous artist and read the artist’s own writings to learn more about the history of the artist and style. The paintings are selected by the instructor and a supply list is emailed before the first class. Instructor: Jennifer Scavone.
