This pre-recorded digital performance delivers quintessential Russian artistry in the form of America’s favorite family Christmas tradition replete with magical toys, falling snow and growing Christmas trees. Moscow Ballet’s “Great Russian Nutcracker” begins streaming Dec.19, 2020 at 7 p.m. and is viewable through Jan. 1.
Says MAC director Diana Martinez. “For many it’s just not the holidays without ‘The Nutcracker,’ so, when COVID-19 distancing protocols precluded the MAC from featuring a live, on-stage performance, we went looking for the next best thing – and we found it in this colorful, vibrant full-scale production.”
