Two Way Street Coffee House Celebrates 50 Years--Heather Styka

Presented by Two Way Street Coffee House at Online/Virtual Space

On Friday, November 6th, Two Way Street Coffee House Friday Night Concert Series presents Heather Styka.

Chicago songwriter Heather Styka cuts to the truth with gutsy vulnerability. With a heartfelt croon that brings to mind Billie Holiday or Patsy Cline, Styka combines the lyrical intricacy of folk with a catchy melodic pop sensibility and the grit of classic country in songs that are smart and disarming.

Heather’s songs capture moments, impressions, feelings, and thoughts in a way that connects with the listener, a lyrical wave that can carry one to shore with a solid conclusion, or go way out into the ocean, searching for an answer, insight, or direction”

- Lilli Kuzma, WDCB-FM

November begins a five week virtual celebration in honor of Two Way Street Coffee House’s 50th Anniversary!  Join us as we commemorate each decade at the Two Way Street, honoring 50 years of artists, volunteers and patrons.  Representing the 2010s, Heather has been a fixture at Two Way Street since she was 13 years old.  A frequent attendee of the Last Thursday Open Mic, Heather honed her skills on the Two Way Street stage.  Now she is an internationally touring artist and her 2018 album North has garnered much praise in the folk world.
