Lavender & Tea Social Featuring the Ryan Carney Cello Trio

Sit back, relax and enjoy an early Fall concert on the grounds of the Lombard Historical Society. Enjoy hot and cold drinks, pretty twinkle lights and an electric mix of music by the versatile and talented, Ryan Carney Cello Trio. Lavender tea and chocolates are special treats that will be on offer and paired with the music of the Ryan Carney Cello Trio, will set the stage for a lovely evening. Please leave the children at home - this event affords everyone an opportunity to enjoy a stress-free, casual “adults only” outing.

The Ryan Carney Cello Trio will perform music ranging from classical cello sonatas to famous melodies by the Beatles, Norah Jones, Chris Cornell, and many others you are sure to recognize. The Trio features Ryan Carney on cello, Shannon Collins Adams on piano and vocals, and Chris Palmerin on cajon and percussion.

Presented by the Lombard Historical Society (LHS). The grounds open and check-in begins at 6:00 pm at the Carriage House, 23 West Maple Street in Lombard, Illinois. Bring a chair, and if the weather is cool, maybe a lap blanket to keep warm. Per LHS policy, reservations and masks are expected. Space is limited to allow for appropriate social distancing.

About the Ryan Carney Cello Trio

Ryan Carney is a local bassist and cellist with a BMus (NIU) and MMus (IU), teaching music for more than 20 years, and performing for more than 30 years. Carney is featured in numerous creative ensembles and recording projects. More at www.whoisryancarney.com.

Shannon Adams, a Chicago area musician and music teacher, is a graduate of New York University's vocal performance program and has been playing piano for over 20 years.

Chris Palmerin joined the Ryan Carney Cello Trio in 2018 and has been involved in the Chicago music scene for over 15 years and performs a diverse array of styles, working with groups such as Antony and the Tramps, Comasoft, Komplicator, Red Line District, and Twice Removed. About the Lombard Historical Society

The Lombard Historical Society celebrates Lombard's heritage by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history of Lombard and operates the Victorian Cottage Museum, the Carriage House and the Society’s Archives at 23 W. Maple Street, and the Sheldon Peck Homestead (a National Park Service Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Site) at 355 E. Parkside Avenue in Lombard. Both the Carriage House and Peck Homestead host activities and groups and are open for tours several days a week. The Victorian Cottage and the children’s Pioneer Playhouse are not open at this time as they are too small to allow for appropriate social distancing.
