This class is about hollow form beads. Consideration unique to hollow form pieces, is the design needs to incorporate vents to allow hot air to escape while soldering. These vents will be in the form of pierced design elements. We will be starting with a flat sheet of silver, cutting and forming discs, learning to saw pierce designs in the surface, and soldering the two halves together. Materials include enough silver to make a single bead up to 1-1/4" diameter, or multiple smaller beads -time permitting .Beads shown are about 5/8" diameter.

Supplies: If you need magnification for close up work, a headband style visor is recommended. You can email me for recommendations at nrkrahn@aol.com Long hair must be tied back for polishing and torch work. Please no long flowing sleeves that could be a danger when working. If you have any jewelry making tools, feel free to bring them ! Chain not included in fee.

Due to COVID-19, personal tool kits will be available for rental the first day of class. $15
