August 4: Sushi Roll (Pop/Cover)

If we had only one word to describe Chicago cover band sensations, Sushi Roll, it would be…ANIMAZING! Formed in early 2012, It is made up of one part driving rock band, one part light-hearted pop, and one part over-the-top theatrical verve! Tune in for a unique blend of high-energy dance music and rock n’ roll swagger.

Coming soon:

August 18: JK & the Jam

Led by Downers Grove native Justin Akira Kono, JK and the Jam will perform in a free concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at Fishel Park (behind our church building). The eight-piece band featuring vocalists Kelley Calpin and Emily Durham will perform pop, top 40 type material, 80s, R&B, Funk, and gospel songs.

Justin Kono, band leader, said that their vocalists “sing some selections in the undefinable stylings of Amy Winehouse and Paramore, all brought to life with an incredibly versatile horn section.”
