Water Street Studios and Fox Valley Food for Health Postpone Mural Reveal Party until April 2, 2020

at Water Street Studios

Fox Valley Food for Health’s mission is to promote a nutrition focused community through teen education and serving those struggling with a health crisis. For more information about Fox Valley Food for Health visit www.foxvalleyfoodforhealth.org.

“We are so excited to pARTner with Water Street Studios on this project. When the opportunity arose it was a no brainer. It brings such a unique opportunity to spread awareness of not only Food for Health & Water Street, but the other organizations involved. I truly believe that this project will be a beautiful representation of how Fox Valley nonprofits are committed to collaborating together, and highlighting each other’s strengths, for the betterment of our community.”

Kit Sunderland, a Chicago-based artist dedicated to expressing the duality of life through her work, was selected by Fox Valley Food for Health for her colorful, realistic yet whimsical style that ties perfectly with Food for Health’s dual mission.  For more information on Kit Sunderland and her work visit www.kitsunderland.com.

You are invited to join us on Thursday, March 19th at 4:30 p.m. for the second mural reveal of the Activate the Alley pARTnership project with Fox Valley Food for Health and artist, Kit Sunderland at Water Street Studios.

We will announce the reveal of the mural with a ribbon cutting ceremony local Chambers of Commerce followed by a cocktail party in the Dempsey Family Gallery. Volunteers from Fox Valley Food for Health will be collecting donations to help support their mission and vision. We encourage those in attendance to make a contribution to support their programming.

“This project was created to elevate our community. At Water Street Studios we understand that our greatest asset is our artist community and we want to utilize our best resources to help lift up the organizations that are making the biggest impact in our community so that together, we can build a healthier more vibrant place to work, live and play,” says Danielle Hollis, Executive Director at Water Street Studios.

The next mural reveal is scheduled for Thursday, April 9th with CASA Kane County, a nonprofit organization that prevents children from falling through the cracks of the heavily populated court and child welfare system. The artwork for CASA Kane County is created by local artist, Berenice Cruz. Stay tuned for more information.

Join us for an evening to celebrate the work of Fox Valley Food for Health featuring a cash bar, opportunities to purchase artwork by Kit Sunderland, and learn more about the program and services provided by Fox Valley Food for Health and Water Street Studios.
