The Applied Linguistics and International Education department at Wheaton College presents “Education and Professionalism: A Leading Strategy for Reaching the World,” a special event by Tim Davis, President of ELIC
Please join the Department of Applied Linguistics and International Education with guest speaker, ELIC President Tim Davis, to hear stories of lives being transformed in some of the most remarkable places on earth. For nearly 40 years, ELIC teachers have had unprecedented opportunities to influence the future leaders of nations within the 10/40 window by working on university campuses. Education is a uniquely strategic way to build friendships and gain credibility where foreigners are not typically able to work and influence. Free pizza and cookies will be served!
Tim Davis was appointed as President of ELIC in 2002. He has led ELIC to send teachers to multiple new countries in Asia, and has pioneered the important work of expanding ELIC’s reach to the Middle East and North Africa. His commitment and passion for reaching the unreached has inspired thousands to give of their time and resources to go and make a difference in the world. As Tim has said, “Reaching the world is not an option. It is a mandate.”
This event is free and open to the public and will take place in Phelps, Lower Beamer.
