Summer Place Theatre of Naperville gets a jump on the summer season with a quirky musical revue.
The Summer Place, Naperville's community theatre since 1966, has a 2020 season planned with productions that are big, momentous, timely, and ... expensive! So in support, Summer Place is producing a special spring fundraiser. This original musical revue is titled "Broadway Backwards!", conceived and produced by Jeff Sand, with vocal direction by Emma Gingold and music direction by Rex Meyer.
"Broadway Backwards!" will be a celebration of your favorite classic and modern Broadway tunes -- but with a twist. Think age, gender and voice type reversed from what you would normally expect.
You will have three chances to see "Broadway Backwards!:" Friday, March 13 at 7:30p and again on Saturday, March 14 at 2:00p and 7:30p. All performances will be at Wesley United Methodist Church at 21 E. Franklin Avenue in Naperville. Tickets are a $20 donation each, but please consider giving more. The three shows we have lined up for you this summer are "Cabaret," "The Diary of Anne Frank" and "The Sound of Music." Your support will help us make these productions something really special.
Tickets are on sale now for "Broadway Backwards!" and the entire season. Just visit our web site to buy online.
Tickets: $20, additional donations welcomed!
