Shifting Chicago: A Tale of Ice and Water

Shifting Chicago: A Tale of Ice and Water

Presented by Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art at Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art

The settlement and development of the Chicago area is the direct result of what glaciers left behind, but human activities have greatly modified the natural environment. The interactions between people and the natural landscapes create ongoing environmental concerns. Join Dr. Roy Plotnick, Earth Science professor at UIC, as he delves into the geologic influences on Chicago's development.
