The Many Moods of Gershwin

Presented by American Wind Band at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church

An accomplished director, arranger and composer for vocalist, choral groups and instrumentalist, Belford has performed in many piano recitals as a featured artist in Venezuela, Colombia, Jamaica, Ecuador, Canada and United States. In addition he has served as piano collaborator for professional choir and instrumental ensembles. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Adventist University of Colombia and master in Choral Music Education from VanderCook School of Music in Chicago, IL. Currently, Belford is the Choir director and professor at Benedictine University, IL, and Music Director at Hinsdale United Methodist church. Additionally he is the Jazz piano collaborator for the Illinois Music Educator Association (ILMEA).

The band will also play a variety of Gershwin music ranging from the classical to the stage and marches.  Also featured will be "Eternal Father Strong to Save by Claude T Smith and other music by American composers, with a short salute to the Irish for St. Patrick's Day.

Parking Info

Located just off Roosevelt Road between York Road and Route 83-next to the new Elmhurst Hospital. Brush Hill Road is the frontage road that runs along the north side of Roosevelt Road.

Free parking is available on both the south and west sides of the Building. Additional parking is located at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, the Orange Lot (southwest corner) a short 3-5 minute walk. Feel free to drop your passengers at the door before parking in the remote lot.
