Our orchestra and chorus take a walk on the dark side with music rooted in the tale of Faust's bargain with Satan. We invite you to come along for Franz Liszt's haunting Mephisto Waltz 1 and Waltz 2, chilling opera selections from Charles Gounod's Faust and Arrigo Boito's Mefistofele, and ominous musical stories of other temptations: The Witches' Chorus from Giuseppe Verdi's opera Macbeth and the third and fourth movements from Hector Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique. Bonus: A performer shares insights into the music at the start of the concert.
Ticket price, in advance or at the door, is $25, discounted to $23 for seniors age 65 and up and to $5 for teenagers. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticket.
