The “Barbershop Boys” – no scissors or haircutting involved – will once again present a lively and lovely medley of Barbershop-style tunes in their annual concert at the Downers Grove Public Library.
The Downers Grove-based West Towns Men’s Barbershop Chorus, directed by Carrie Marcotte of Bolingbrook, will perform selections ranging from “My Girl,” and “Little St. Nick,” to “Do You Hear the People Sing,” and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” among a variety of others, and will sing at least one number from the group’s upcoming Christmas Show extravaganza, “Countdown to Christmas,” Dec. 7 and 14 (check the website, http://www.westtowns.org/shows, for details.)
This one-hour concert is co-sponsored by the Downers Grove Music Club and the Downers Grove Public Library as part of the annual concert series.
Free Admission. It is recommended that reservations be made via the Events page of the library’s website, http://dglibrary.org/events, or by calling the library at 630-960-1200, although walk-ins are also welcome.
