Artist-in-Residency Talk: Christopher Lucero

Artist-in-Residency Talk: Christopher Lucero

Presented by People Made Visible, Inc. and West Chicago City Museum at People Made Visible

Since 2018, Christopher Lucero, creator of Calaveras of Chicago, has been interviewing and portraying West Chicago residents in his stylistic interpretation of their lives through designed makeup in the calavera style. Christopher's work dives deep into other peoples heritages, beliefs, lives, cultures, backgrounds, experiences, stories, and history so that we may learn more about the world through different perspectives. Over the course of three years, Christopher is serving as an artist-in-residency with People Made Visible and the West Chicago City Museum to capture the images of 24 residents.

Join us for a potluck sharing at 5pm and artist talk at 6pm to hear about Christoper's work and how we can learn from each other through art. This event is free and open to all.
