Presented by Gallery 200 at People Made Visible

“Falling for Nature” features flower and nature scenes painted by Kathi Kuchler, a botanical watercolorist and illustrator, certified by Morton Arboretum . Stop by the reception to enjoy refreshments and meet Kathi as well as other Gallery 200 artists..

If you can’t make the opening reception, view Kathi’s artwork during Gallery 200 hours from Sept 6-29, 2019.

Kathi began painting at the age of 14 in oils and then turned to watercolors because she loved the fact that she could take her small round paint palette wherever she went. She received her certification as a Botanical Watercolorist and Illustrator through the Morton Arboretum in 2015. It was in her classes at the Arboretum that she started drawing with colored pencils, and then she recently started working in water soluble oils. She also makes jewelry by inserting miniature prints of her paintings into cabochon pendants, embellishing and adding vintage-like charms. She has also discovered that she loves making upcycling silk scarves with Nuna Felting.
