Being Gallery/Competition Ready - Presentation by Mary Dorrell

Presented by Addison Art Guild at Addison Village Hall

Beyond the beautiful work that you have created, does it look professional?  A great painting or sculpture poorly presented may be passes over while a less-than-great work of art may win or sell quickly. Learn the key elements to evaluating the final delivery of your work. Feel free to bring 1-2 samples for feedback.

Mary Dorrell studied Broadcast Journalism and worked as an intern at WGN News, writing for television and radio; all the while continuing with art studies in batik. She sold her batik paintings in Chicago-area art shows and festivals.  Dorrell has a Certificate in Painting from School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Certificate in Fine Art from the Art House. Did an Artist in Residency at Petrified Forest National Park in 2015. Her family portraits are personal and she makes it a point to donate a few portraits each year to a non-profit organization called "Hearts Apart." They serve families of deployed military, families in cancer treatment and children ready for a forever family.
