Pop Up Art Show and Sale at the Museum Pavilion

Presented by Villa Park Historical Society & Visitors' Center at Villa Park Historical Museum

The Villa Park Historical Museum is hosting "Linking Art & Community," a one-day pop-up outdoor art show for the whole family. Featuring the work of dozens of local artists, the exhibit offers an opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind art in a variety of mediums.  Jewelry, photography, mixed media, and oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings will be on display at the covered pavilion by the garden at the Villa Park Historical Museum, 220 S. Villa Ave.

This fun day of art in the community is walking distance of the Illinois Prairie Path, More Brewing, Fuel, Creme and other Villa Park establishments, so make a day of it!

Sharon Tinker, president of Studios630 artists group, said she hopes the program "will raise community awareness of the incredible local talent that we have here in the Western suburbs."

Artists from Villa Park, Lombard, Elmhurst, Naperville, Willowbrook, and nearby communities will display and sell their original artwork. The event is sponsored by the historical society, village and Studios630.

Parking is available in the museum lot, along Park Boulevard, and at the church parking lot, 250 S. Villa Ave.

The Villa Park Historical Museum, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, is located in the 1929 Chicago, Aurora & Elgin electric train line station that originally served the community as the Villa Avenue stop until 1957. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, and since 2009 has served as the Villa Park Visitor Center, providing business information, Prairie Path maps, and guides to local restaurants and shopping.
