Please join Rick Pickren as he performs traditional and original folk songs in the William J. Mueller Gazebo.The first thirty people receive a coupon for a free Dairy Queen Dilly Bar. Rick Pickren is a nationally known actor and singer-songwriter of traditional and original folk songs. A descendant of Buffalo Bill Cody, he holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Musicology and an MFA in Acting/Directing from the University of Michigan. He travels the Midwest with his guitar, banjo and harmonicas performing his critically acclaimed programs. He has performed in venues ranging from the Allstate Arena to intimate concert settings. His programs are filled with historical detail and depth, encompassing a vast repertoire of folk, cowboy and original songs.

Play Victorian Era games like Croquet and Hoops and Graces, or just sit back, enjoy your ice cream and listen to the beautiful music of Rick Pickren. Note that you will pick up your DQ coupon (courtesy of the Dairy Queen on Main Street) at the Lombard Historical Society and take it to DQ to redeem for your free Dilly Bar.

About the Lombard Historical Society:

The Lombard Historical Society celebrates Lombard's heritage by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history of Lombard and operates the Victorian Cottage Museum, the Carriage House and the Society’s Archives at 23 W. Maple Street, and the Sheldon Peck Homestead, a National Park Service Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Site, at 355 E. Parkside Avenue in Lombard. Both the Victorian Cottage and Peck Homestead host activities and groups and are open for tours several days a week.
