Did you know Cary Grant was supposed to star in It’s a Wonderful Life? That the gym-floor-turned-swimming-pool was real? That the movie bombed at the box office?
Even if you've seen the holiday classic It's a Wonderful Life 150 times, you'll have fun exploring the movie's creation including how the script evolved, how the cast was chosen, and the technical challenges that were overcome. Enjoy rare photographs taken behind-the-scenes and find out what happened to the cast.
We are having an encore presentation of this delightful Leslie Goddard, Ph.D., program in response to requests after Leslie presented here two years ago. If you missed it once, make sure you enjoy it this year! (And frankly, the program is so packed with trivia, most folks will learn more a second time.)
After the program has concluded, the actual movie will be shown (starting about 3:30) -- free of charge -- for those who wish to stay.
For more information, visit our website at www.glenellynhistory.org or call us at 630/469-1867.
